A good drive up the A9 left us with time for a quick walk in the evening but it was pretty breezy and very cold and the tide was in so a quick walk was all we got.

I love seeing 'weather' on the horizon, especially big, dark clouds and rain.

We headed down the side of the Fort to see what we might see but it really was too cold to stay out long and there wasn't a lot going on.

The cold wind reminded me I'd forgotten to bring my hat n gloves!!!! It's good to see the Common Gulls gathering to nest again along the shore here, they have to be THE most tolerant gull when nesting.

Common gulls have a higher, screechy call than the Herring gulls which are also a bit bigger.

We didn't hand around too long, headed back to the car and home for a cuppa and a heat.
